Our Vision: Children and young people possess the same human rights as the rest of humanity. They will experience a better quality of life if society in general, and the services used by them in particular recognise and respect these rights.
The Investing in Children Membership Award ™ (IiC) is given to those organisations who can demonstrate that they are engaged in an active dialogue with children and young people that results in change. IiC recognises and celebrates examples of good and active inclusive practice that promotes the human rights of children and young people. Using a right’s based approach IiC creates spaces in which children and young people can come together, discuss issues and develop arguments through research, then supports them to enter into dialogue with adults who have the power to act on their agenda. IiC Newcastle members are those services delivering in Newcastle, that can demonstrate a commitment to dialogue with children and young people that leads to the improvements in matters that affect them.
