This session will provide an overview of these important areas including key legislation, statutory timescales, governors' responsibilities regarding complex in-year admissions and the fair access protocol. Governors attending the session will be able to better understand the role of the governing body on admissions, exclusions and complex cases and the support on offer from the Local Authority.

How to apply for Governor Services’ sessions Where schools have bought into the Platinum packages or the Governor Training Gold package, there are no extra charges for training. Other schools will be charged at £46 per hour per governor for training sessions attended. Please check with your school or with Governor Services if you are unsure which package your school has purchased. IT IS IMPORTANT TO BOOK A PLACE ON ANY SESSION YOU WISH TO ATTEND RATHER THAN JUST TURN UP. ALL GOVERNORS WHO HAVE BOOKED ONTO A SESSION WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL TO CONFIRM THE DETAILS APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK BEFORE THE SESSION IN ADDITION TO A CONFIRMATION GENERATED BY SLA ONLINE.
